I know, I know I should have done this a long time ago, but I haven’t…However now I will finally manifest my love for the shade of Indigo!!!

I loooove Indigo! I love Indigo on clothes, accessories, shoes, furniture, nature yes even as a food colorant.

Here a few facts about Indigo

–> Indigo is a very bright but at the same time dark shade of Blue. Thanks to Isaac Newton, the beautiful shade of Indigo is considered one of the 7 colors of the Rainbow and its name derives from the Indigofera tinctoria plant.

–> The Pantone code of the shade Indigo is #4B0082 (original)

–> In spiritualism the color electric indigo represents the sixth Chakra, which is believed to be related to Intuition and spiritual knowledge.

–> Indigo children are kids considered to be already in the next stage of human evolution and according to New Age theories, these children are creatively talented and have supernatural abilities like telepathy and  super strong empathy.

–> Blueberries are indigo, so are Indigo birds and midnight sky in summer.

The Purple-cast Indigo ( Pantone 19-3926) has been announced on of the Key Colors of A/W 13/14 in Fashion.

Indigo Influence has also been announced a Trend at Première Vision S/S 14.

If you are as exited about Indigo as I am you should definitely check out Prabal Gurung‘s  A/W 13/14 Collection, which luckily contains some Indigo Influences as well!

Indigo, in every variation it comes, is one of my favorite shades of Blue; fun fact though is that I do not even gather that much clothes in Indigo in my Closet.
